FIFA 16 is the latest entry in the long running franchise and it is as good as ever this year. Within the game, you can earn coins in a variety of different ways for use in the game’s Ultimate Team mode. These may come more slowly at the time, but there are definitely some ways that are faster than others, so we are here to tell you a few of them. Technically, FIFA 16 does offer you the option to just straight up pay money to buy what are known as FIFA Points in the game, which can also be exchanged for card packs and the ability to play FUT Draft. However, who wants to have to pay extra money in the game, so instead we are looking at ways to earn coins in-game only.
Even if you do skirmish through towards the enemy's sticks there’s still work to be done. FIFA 16’s goalies all seem to have spent the summer training with Manuel Neuer - they’re often off their lines quicker than you can say ‘sweeper keeper’. These begloved folk have also been given a touch more life; they’ll bounce the ball before kicking it out, or thrust the ball out in front of them if a particularly powerful shot forces them to step back across their goal line. There are also changes to the way some game modes work - although these are largely cosmetic.
In that game that the Computer also makes mistakes there are now no more perfect kick -ins or throw-ins from the CPU. In that game the CPU’s goalkeeper made three mistakes from goalkicks and Messi missed three chances. In previous FIFA’s that would not have happened. It’s a welcome change that makes the game feel more real. The LB button is now assigned to the no touch dribbling. It’s more like a feint than no touch dribbling but I have already been able to use it to good effect to win a few freekicks. The is also a new more powerful direct pass but keeping hold of the ball is a mission. The ball is either over passed or your player just can’t seem to control it. The through ball have been made less effective even with clear space you are gonna have a tough time getting a through ball to beat the defenders.
Last year’s first playtest for journalists threw up several farcical scorelines (and accompanying eye rolls) that wouldn’t have looked out of place on an ice hockey rink; yet this year, in around 15 matches, the closest I got to a goal bonanza was a single 3-2. And that was between Barca and Real Madrid. There’ll be a backlash against these defensive measures from the type of online player who only ever makes use of those Iberian behemoths, and desires to either win 7-0 or disconnect at the first whiff of defeat. But in terms of realism and competitive balance, the emphasis on defending is a long overdue, and extremely welcome, change. Let babies be babies. The rest of us can focus on trying to recreate actual, real football.
After getting to know your roster a bit, head to the store in the FUT main menu. At the start of your FIFA 16 Ultimate Team career, you will have a balance of 500 coins to work with. Once in the store, check the Browse Packs menu. Open the complimentary packs supplied to you. Check your haul for high-ranking players and consumable assets like kits, stadiums and managers. If you receive a player or asset in a pack that you feel you have no use for, select Quick Sell in the options, and instantly get credited coins back to your account. Conversely, select Send to Club if you intend to keep the player or consumable.
Here are some miscellaneous tips that don’t fit under one category. Stay up to date with our fifa guide and what’s going on in the footballing world. If Diego Costa or any other player happens to be on a fine run of form or had a good game, that would be a good time to sell him (if you have that card of course) and balloon up the prices. Keep listing your cards throughout the day. Don’t give up because one auction failed. Lastly, don’t expect to get rich quick. All these methods require time and PATIENCE.
As always, have fun playing FIFA 16!
