Just like in many sports games the visuals is an important part of FIFA 15 as EA Sports have made the game look gorgeous on the PlayStation 4. The stadiums look as close to the real thing as possible and as I said above you see the pitch evolve from a pristine green surface to a surface with chunks of grass missing etc. As for the players the kits and faces both look lifelike, although some faces give a blank lifeless stare.
Coupled with the improved Premier League experience, commentary has also been given some enhancements. Following the events of the 2014 World Cup, commentators will discuss certain events that affected the players on the pitch. Martin Tyler and Alan Smith will mention Steven Gerrard’s header to Luis Suarez which lead to Uruguay’s second goal against England, as well as Sergio Aguero’s lack of goals for Argentina. But it doesn’t stop there, Tyler and Smith will also converse on happenings in lower leagues too such as QPR’s last minute goal against Derby County in the Championship Play-Off Final. These are the sort of things commentators mention in real life so to see them here in Fifa 15 helps the game feel even more lifelike, and helps to create the perfect Premier League experience.
Over the past few years we’ve seen a lot of improvements for penalty kicks and EA aren’t finished yet, as they are set to introduce new improvements for the World Cup game. Developer EA Canada has made a big deal out of FIFA 15‘s “next-gen goalkeepers,” and while they can still make some ludicrous errors as was the case in previous games, on the whole they’re more intelligent than ever before. They’ve added new shooting and save animations, as well as giving you the ability to try and put off your opponent with goalkeeper motions – including Bruce Grobbelaar’s famous wobbly knees.
A penalty awarded during a match will now involve players lurking on the edge of the area to react if the kick is saved, rather than in previous additions where if you missed your chance was pretty much over. Penalty shoot-outs will now be far more interesting as they will become harder and have numerous different outcomes. More adept ‘keepers will fly through the air to reach a ball sailing into the top corner of the goal, they’ll spread out their bodies in order to cover more of the goal mouth when placed in a one-on-one situation with a striker and they’ll fight to contain loose balls inside the box.
We now turn to the Numerous game modes. Some of these, like the challenge mode or speed tournaments, do not need special introductions and allow you to play individual matches or championships alone or up to a maximum of 4 players locally, using licenses and official calendars of the alloys in the game or from scratch by creating a competition with its own rules and their own teams. The other, less immediate and dedicated to Those Who want to take a longer route and articulated, to simulate a real career as a coach or as a player. In the first case, in location addition to playing the meetings, we will be Involved in the financial management and organizational structure of the firm selected, of Which we will have to manage virtually every sector including the market and the search for new talent, always keeping in mind the Objectives and the limits assigned by the leadership.
In a word, Picking this one up is a no-brainer, especially if you’ve already invested quite a lot of time in the series. The myriad improvements still end up making this game feel like a major improvement over its brethren. By the same token, if you’re new to football games entirely, there’s no better place to start than with FIFA 15.
