FIFA 15: The most realistic football video game on the market

FIFA 15 Match Day will feel more dynamic and alive than ever before – immersing you in the match action and never taking you out of the moment. With region specific behaviors, crowds will now be distinguished by cheers and chants designated to their club, league, country, or continent. Fans at Anfield in Liverpool feel and act differently than the fans at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires. Commentators will mention specific fan behavior triggered by unique fan moments like the Poznan or club songs. New Bench Reactions, 10 Player Goal Celebrations, ball boy animations, and contextual commentary will keep FIFA 15 fans engaged in the story of the match.

Players take that little bit longer to get up from a slide tackle (as they would in real life), player's slip when they try and turn too fast and there is actual tugging of the shirt. I can't begin to describe how satisfying it was to win a penalty because Joey Barton pulled Morgan Amalfitano's shirt. You begin to live and breathe the emotion on the pitch. The gameplay is still very much the same. There's no need for a complete overhaul of whatever Ancelotti-esque tactics you've employed in the past. There is better AI from the defence and keepers are that little bit harder to beat, although they seem to parry every shot rather than catch it, which ensures plenty of screaming at the television.

Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to have been transferred across to the defenders. Yes, they move smoothly enough, but getting in that ball-stripping tackle or slide can be tough. Especially when the game automatically switches to the closest defender when often it feels that another player was in a better position to chase down an opponent. The momentary switch between players is often enough for an attacker to work his way through the defence. Maybe it's just the improved attacking and dribbling mechanics that make the defenders seem somewhat inept, but I had the same issue with FIFA 15 and it appears as though the team at EA Sports needs to put a little more effort into the defensive mindset.

No matter the feature set, it all comes down to the gameplay, and that’s where FIFA 15 shines. As in previous versions, Fifa on iOS delivers a great flow to the game of soccer in the bounce of the ball, the movement of the players, and the continuous supply of action. FIFA 15 seems to enhance the game engine even more for such authentic soccer gameplay that allows you to pass, defend, and shoot exactly as you would expect. The best example is lobbing a cross near the goal, attempting to shoot it in, having it bounce off the crossbar, and then kicking in the ricochet. The engine allows for the real flow of a soccer match to interact with a physics engine that replicates the real world reactions of the players, and ball.

So don't be afraid to grind coins with bad teams if you ever find yourself short. You get coins even from losses, so every match has a reward – but optimizing your rewards is key. There are many objectives where the reward is fewer coins than it would cost to buy the item that would trigger the objective's reward. If you complete FIFA 15 naturally, then that's fine and dandy. If not, then, you can get small rewards easily. Additionally, the people who are playing in these matches are generally way too good, so unless you're extremely competent at FIFA, I'd just stay away. Tournaments can be risky as you don't win the prize unless you win the whole thing, but they can often have extremely valuable prizes.

My advice: Make a lot small profits. For example start trading with a couple of popular players and sell them for a little profit (maybe 500/1000 FIFA coins). Many popular players who are not too expensive can be bought for (example) 600 coins and you can easily sell them again for 700 or 800 coins. Set the buy now price at the minimum you want to earn for this player. People without patience will buy your player and you have earned some coins again. Keep doing this trick for a week and you'll easily have 80.000 or more. The next step could be; buy the player you've always wanted. Or start trading with more expensive popular players and do the trick over and over again.

EA Sports has (once again) compiled a top-of-the-range soundtrack, which will have you humming and singing along as you navigate through the game’s menus. The soundtrack features a number of well-known acts such as Kasabian, Rudimental and The Kooks and there are also some exclusive new tracks from Avicii and the Ting Tings, which goes to show just how far the soundtrack has come since Ms. Dynamite’s "Dy-Na-Mi-Tee" featured on FIFA Football 2003. Overall, EA Sports has pulled out all the stops to ensure FIFA 15 is the most realistic football video game on the market. The gameplay improvements and the television style presentation truly capture the beautiful game at its finest.
