FIFA 16 has every chance of being the best-selling game
FIFA 16 knows just how important this year‘s race to the top is. With Konami’s PES 2016 breathing down its neck, now’s the time for EA Sports’soccer series to push itself even further to greatness. The majority of this soccer sim’s positive aspectscome from the sum of its parts rather than its entire package. While this year’s FIFA doesn’t do anything truly groundbreaking, it’s still an enjoyable entry for everyone involved. FIFA is the world's most successful and famous football game, and FIFA 16 is the next-generation iteration of the game that is all set for release tomorrow. Despite being a dyed-in-the-wool Pro Evo fan I am excited about FIFA 16, and not just because it includes for the first time what can only be described as lady players. Indeed, my experiences reviewing FIFA 15 and 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil have converted me: these days FIFA kicks ass. Royally so.

EA has confirmed via a statement on its website that North America’s National Collegiate Athletic Association had contacted the publisher regarding the issue. “Of the hundreds of players on these rosters, 13 are currently attending or likely to attend NCAA-sanctioned schools in the US,”said the statement. “The NCAA recently informed EA Sports that these 13 student-athletes would be risking their eligibility for collegiate athletics by being included in FIFA 16.”We’re sure PES 2016 won’t sell a tenth as many copies as this, and that FIFA 16 has every chance of being the best-selling game of the year in the UK and possibly the world. But it doesn’t deserve it.
It’s not a bad game but it’s unquestionably the runner-up in this year’s title match. But that’s fine. That’s normally what it takes for a series like this to decide to pull its socks up and reshape itself from the ground up, instead of just tinkering around the edges of the problem. If EA now feel they have real competition then that’s only going to increase their efforts, and that can only be good for everyone. The mode itself just like the Ultimate Team fully depends on player cards. However, in this instance you are only able to pick one player out of the five available for each on pitch position, as it is impossible to source players from your own club. Team creation starts with a choice of formation, which is also limited to five options.
By doing so, EA is trying to encourage players to try different formation they wouldn’t have tried otherwise, as all five are random and it is very likely that your formation of choice will not be available. And same goes for the players, as each set of five digital footballers is generated at random, and is designed to make players chose between a higher rating and the optimal chemistry. Elctronic Arts has confirmed a new feature that will be available to play in FIFA this year’s FIFA 16. FIFA Ultimate Team introduces FUT Draft in which players will be able to compete online and in single player mode in a knockout-style string of four games. The more games they win, the more rewards they will get.
Lastly, a much called for addition has been included in FIFA 16 that gives players the option to train their squad players and (hopefully) improve their value to the team by completing mini-games in order to enhance certain attributes of your chosen player in line with their base statistics. With 30 different drills available you can hone the skills of your players as you create the ultimate dream team.
