Players have scored 164 million goals with Alex Hunter in FIFA 17 story mode
Um... We know that FIFA 17 has added a new story mode “Journey”. It’s time to see how about it. Before that, you should know how popular FIFA 17 is. EA contributes to make FIFA 17 best FIFA. And after it’s released, it’s really more realstic than other versions thanks to the frostbite engine. Lighting and shadows, textures, colors, animations, all have been given a makeover for FIFA 17 thanks to Frostbite. Shadows will cast more accurately, lighting will disperse through the air, the grass is less vibrant but more textured. All examples of little touches applied through Frostbite.
And FIFA 17 has sold 20 times than PES 2017 in the first week in UK. If you know the reason, I think it ascribes the new frostbite engine and new story mode. EA has proclaimed its bespoke story mode within FIFA 17 to be a resounding success, with the news that players have scored 164 million goals with Alex Hunter so far. And you thought Alan Shearer's record was prolific. The game will feature a new single-player story campaign mode titled The Journey for PS4, Xbox One and PC where players assume the role of Alex Hunter, a young footballer trying to make his mark in the Premier League. The player will be able to select one of 20 Premier League clubs to play for at the beginning of the season.
As GR+ revealed in our piece offering full spoilers for The Journey, early in his career Hunter gets to select from three Championship clubs for a loan move in order to build experience at a lower level. Newcastle United beat out Aston Villa and Norwich to be named his most popular destination. His trait levelled up more than any other is ball control, followed by weak foot, finesse shot, flair and dribbling. His average match rating is 8 out of 10, and he's nabbed 1.1million FA Cup winner's medals, and 659,000 Premier League championships.
The stat is one of many released by EA Canada as part of a Hunter-focussed infographic. The fictional forward, played by actor Adetomiwa Edun, has featured in 142 million matches at an average of 4.2 million per day, with Manchester United (18.4%) his most popular parent club. Liverpool (11.3%), Leicester (11.1%), Arsenal (9.7%) and West Ham (7.9%) round out the top five. “It’s absolutely incredible to see the number of people engaging with The Journey,” says Edun. “The social media response has been phenomenal: to have fans shouting out for Alex during big football matches has been surreal. I can’t wait to see where Alex’s journey leads next.”
